A Fatal Fiction Cozy Mystery

A Fatal Fiction Cozy Mystery is a fun murder mystery. Mikki, is a retired teacher who loves a good mystery. When a local is murdered, Mikki is on the case!

I found the main character, Mikki, to be quite engaging. She lives in a small town near the Catskill mountains with her Calico cat, Calpurnia. Mikki spends much of her free time editing books. Mikki is entirely serious about solving the mystery of who committed the murder of Greg Onslow. I found myself chuckling over Mikki’s plans and schemes. However, it’s how Mikki physically carries out her plans that is both dangerous, yet hilarious!

A Fatal Fiction is exactly what it should be, an entertaining and fun cozy mystery. Yes, please forgive us cozy mystery fans. We just can’t help loving a witty story with a murder wrapped up inside. Now if only Columbo could have carried off some of the physical feats Mikki accomplished in her quest to figure out who killed Greg Onslow .

Greg is a gruff man. He has no qualms of verbally abusing both men and women, including Mikki. In fact shortly before he was murdered, Greg and Mikki had a loud and animated argument, in front of bystanders no less. So yes, seventy year old Mikki landed herself right smack in the middle of the local police detective’s investigation of Greg Onslow’s murder.

Let the fun begin! I thoroughly enjoyed A Fatal Fiction, which is the third book in the Deadly Edits mystery series. I chuckled and laughed out loud as Mikki carried out her own investigation of Onslow’s murder. And I must say, the seventy years young, Mikki, pulls out all the stops as she performs some outstanding physical feats. Eat your heart out Jackie Chan and Tom Cruise! Many thanks to author, Kaitlyn Dunnett, for writing A Fatal Fiction fun mystery.
