High: Confessions of a Cannabis Addict
High: Confessions of a Cannabis Addict is the honest, straight-forward telling of Leonard Lee Buschel’s life and his struggles with addiction. Buschel tells his story with truth and with a refreshing sense of humor.
I thoroughly enjoyed this immersive memory of Leonard’s life of addiction. His story, while told with humor, is also quite compelling and one readers will not want to put down. Accounts of the lives of addicts have been told frequently over the decades. However, High is an honest story able to reach to our hearts and our minds.
I do have some thoughts and comments regarding a review I saw written by someone else. The comments I refer to were concerning the time frame covered in this memoir. And I will stop here for just a moment to say that one definition of “memoir” is: memoir, history or record composed from personal observation and experience. So then … what do you expect when you pick up a book that is described as: “Vastly entertaining and incredibly honest—a captivating memoir of addiction and recovery.” I will have more to say about the time frame of this book in my upcoming podcast book review of Leonard Lee Buschel’s High: Confessions of a Cannabis Addict. In the meantime, read this emotional and exciting true life adventure: High.
High: Confessions of a Cannabis Addict will take us to some dark places. However, it will also lift us up through hope and ultimate success.
