Intriguing Cozy Mystery – Murder By Page One

Intriguing Cozy Mystery – Murder By Page One. I loved every moment of Murder By Page One – Book 1 of the Peach Coast Library Mysteries series from Hallmark Publishing! Librarian, Marvey moves from Brooklyn, New York to the small town of Peach Coast, Georgia. I loved all of Marvey’s comments about Brooklyn. Being a former Brooklynite myself I can tell you for a fact,  the author is just “dead-on” with every single one of her Brooklyn references.

Murder By Page One was a fun and intriguing read. And, of course, Phoenix the cat was fun too. In fact, considering Phoenix’s demeanor, if he could talk, I bet he’d be tawkin’ Brooklynese too! I loved how Marvey’s interactions with Phoenix was so natural. I believe any pet lover reading this story would be drawn to the natural comfort in the progression of their relationship as Phoenix slowly acclimated to his home with Marvey.

As the characters in this story worked to solve the bookstore crime of the murder at Fiona’s book signing event, readers are introduced to the various characters in this story. We also learn a lot about the backgrounds of the folks of Peach Coast. And as pet lovers we can also can relate with how Marvey draws comfort from the standoffish cat. Making such a drastic change in her daily life, Marvey has much to learn about all her new Peach Coast neighbors. It actually reminds me of a TV series from a few years back, Hart of Dixie. That very entertaining series was about Dr. Zoe Hart who relocates from New York City to the small town of Blue Bell, Alabama. So, I guess my point here is if you love Murder By Page One, you might want to check out reruns of Hart of Dixie. At the time of this writing, Hart of Dixie is still available to watch on Netflix.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers for this women’s contemporary fiction story by Olivia Matthews. Instead, I will include the publisher’s book description for you along with my book review. All and all, I thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing cozy mystery – Murder By Page One. And of course, any book with an intriguing cozy mystery story about a librarian and a murder that takes place in a bookstore, at a book signing, is surely going to be worth my time.

“If you love Hallmark mystery movies,
you’ll love this cozy mystery
with humor, intrigue, and a librarian amateur sleuth.”
